The Galaxy S26 Ultra was the phone I had high hopes for…but this year’s update feels a lot more like an “S” refresh than a true leap forward. We’re still not getting a bigger battery, there’s no move to silicon-carbon, and somehow there are still no built-in Qi2 magnets. In a market where Chinese brands are pushing battery innovation, charging speeds, and hardware forward every year, Samsung feels unusually conservative. Yes, there are refinements.
